About this Series: Started in March of 2017 In my Drawing VI class at Miami University. With these assignments, students are allowed to test other mediums of their choice as they search for the visual vocabulary. These works are done with enamel spray paint and other house hold products such as vinegar, rubbing alcohol, windex, washer detergent, olive oil, vegetable oil and pam spray. This is a wet on wet process where I layer the wet spray paint and then pour the chemicals on to the wet paint which can create the various designs or forms. This would be applied to ceramic glazed tile, glass, canvas, card stock, card board, and wood panel. The dimensions do not exist because I zoom in so closely to the sections I like of the work and present the piece as a digital form. I want my audience to look at the forms and think about what the image means to them or what they think it looks like. I have received responses that were from flowers, to faces to animals and to planets. Thinking about their responses reminds me that again I cannot control people to seeing what I see. I enjoy focusing on the process and feel more satisfied at the end when I am surprised by my results. If you have any questions about my process please contact me through my website.
