Adopted from China, Remy J. Groh lives in Cleveland, Ohio and has lived there for the majority of her life. She graduated from Beaumont High School in 2014 and is currently an undergraduate student at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio). She plans to graduate in the Fall Semester of 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education and a Fine Arts degree (concentration in painting). She has also received college credits from a pre-college summer program at the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2012. Groh has had the opportunity to travel to countries such as France, Ireland, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. She also had the opportunity to study aboard in Italy exploring Rome and Florence for three weeks in the summer of 2017. She states that Washington D.C., San Francisco, and Maui were some of the best places she's been to in the United States.
At Beaumont High School. she has won a service award for her volunteer work at Judson at University Circle (Cleveland, Ohio) for doing over 170 hours of community service. At Judson, she worked with an art therapist and did art with the residents. As a current student at Miami, Groh has put over 70 hours into her art education field experiences where she had the opportunity to observe and work with teachers all over the Butler County, OH. She has also been actively involved in her Residence Hall Community experiencing a role as a PR, a president and then a resident hall assistant. Groh has also been the co-president of the National Art Education Association the student chapter at Miami University between Fall of 2016 to Spring of 2017. Some of her biggest accomplishments include Receiving the Dean's List award three times in her academic career and selling two of her art pieces. Some of her dreams include publishing an adult fiction novel, publishing and illustrating a children's book series, presenting work at galleries, exhibitions and art fairs.
